The Região dos Lagos (North Coast) corresponds to the northern coast of the state of
Rio de Janeiro , in the
south-eastern region of
Brazil . The most popular destinations are Cabo Frio, Búzios, Rio das
Ostras and Arraial do Cabo.
Cabo Frio
Cabo Frio is the most important vacation destination on the North Coast of Rio de Janeiro (the Lakes Region). The city is literally taken by storm
during summer. Beautiful beaches, such as Plage du Fort (a former fortress to protect the region). Water sports, walks, sailing tours,
diving and many other permanent or seasonal activities make Cabo Frio an ideal place for a successful vacation. Cabo Frio is

Búzios
Búzios is the favorite destination for lovers of lively nights and more refinement and comfort. These are many small hidden beaches in the
small berry background. Of course, the more central beaches of Geribá, Ferradura and João Fernandes are also sought after by the bulk of holidaymakers.
More than two dozen paradisiacal beaches are on the menu anyway. You will certainly find one to your liking! At night, many
restaurants and bars offer you the best of the night at the beach outside the capital, Rio de Janeiro. And the night in Búzios starts very late ...
Rio das Ostras
Rio das Ostras is another popular destination further north on the Região dos Lagos. Besides the beautiful beaches, the city organizes many
entertainment to attract tourists (shows with popular singers, various festivals).
Rio das Ostras is located 170 km north of Rio de Janeiro. Among the various beaches in the city, Praia das Areias Negras is one of the favorites.
Other good beaches are Enseada daas Gaivotas, Praia da Virgem, Praia do Mar do Norte. There are about fifteen beautiful beaches.
Arraial do Cabo
Arraial do Cabo, a small town near São Pedro da Aldeia (Lagoa de Araruama) is known as the Diving Capital of Brazil. Those are
incredible beautiful little beaches with crystal clear waters, such as Praia do Forno. Do not miss this visit! In our opinion, one of the most
